Are you looking for a dynamic work environment that values employee contributions, looks for innovation and considers the culture one of its most important assets?  Kramer Beverage is a family-owned and operated beer wholesaler in southern New Jersey.  We are looking for a Craft Beer Specialist to complement our team and add to the experience of our customers.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

o   Achieving sales and distribution objectives for package and draft inclusive of all Craft/Specialty brands

o   Assist Craft Brand Manager with planning activities that will drive achievement of volume, new distribution, promotions and merchandising objectives for targeted accounts

o   Create and build displays for high volume key accounts

o   Work with Brand Development Managers, District Managers, Sales Reps, Merchandisers and Supplier Reps in the trade and at events as directed

o   Train, coach, and motivate Sales Reps to deliver maximum impact in the market

o   Conduct targeted tasting/sampling and execute account staff education sessions with key targeted accounts

o   Assist Craft Brand Manager with the preparation of accurate weekly and monthly depletion, goal, activity, inventory and Point of Sale reports.

o   Coordinate and work special events and promotions consistently throughout the year

o   Assist Craft Brand Manager with performing and maintaining a regular schedule of District Managers & Sales Reps

o   Stay informed of key community trade and activities

o   Partner in formulating  individual brand strategies that address opportunities with your customers

o   Research consumer metrics to better understand brand trends

o   Analyze market data to identify opportunities at retail

o   Execute fact based selling

o   Be punctual for all meetings and calls with customers, suppliers & managers

o   Develop key account relationships with targeted on/off premise accounts

o   Develop & maintain a high level of product knowledge through training and research

o   Educate/inform customers on all new brands and styles

o   Be a steward for all specialty brands/insure product distribution and quality

o   Partner in performing a post event analysis on all promotions and present to Craft Brand Manager

o   Seek to understand customer's goals and objectives for the category

o   Partner in a multi-functional team in uncovering consumer insights surrounding the craft segment

o   Effectively communicate with multiple departments within the organization

o   Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned

o Strong knowledge of breweries and beer styles

o Extensive passion for the craft segment

o Customer/consumer, category and market dynamics understanding

o Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

o Ability to drive strategic sales initiatives with suppliers

Education and Experience

o BA/BS degree preferred

o Must have 3+ years of direct sales experience 

o Experience with malt beverage distributor network

o Must have strong craft beer experience
