Position Summary

The Wine & Spirits Representative is accountable for profitably managing business results (volume, share, profit) for assigned account(s).  Develops the account sales plan and facilitates its implementation. Ensures that products and programs are sold to and executed in Liquor & Restaurant retailers by coordinating the sales, distribution, and program execution through key retailer decision influencers and Kramer Beverage system. Builds value-enhancing relationships with retailers through category management application, responsive problem solving and proactive relationship management.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Call on buyer, retail operations and any internal/external resources.
  • Develop and maintain account plans.
  • Applies appropriate presentation and selling techniques.
  • Follows company call plans
  • Reports call results
  • Develop strong relationships with Kramer Beverage accounts including interaction with high level decision makers by developing trust and credibility.
  • Is proactive in assisting accounts with product knowledge and retail solutions.
  • Analyzes performance issues and opportunities.
  • Responsible for product forecasting and ordering.
  • Must maintain strong communications with internal team to ensure transparency of activities.
  • Work closely with marketing resources to develop and deliver customized programming.
  • Perform against agreed upon sales criteria that include distribution, sales, promotional, quality, and retail standards goals as well as monthly objectives.


  • BA/BS degree with a minimum of Three years' CPG experience with previous work related equivalent required.
  • Excellent communications skills (oral, written, presentation)
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook)
  • Utilizes all company selling tools, resources, and best practices to secure and maintain current business
  • Must qualify for NJ State Solicitors Permit

  • Mobility Factors:
    • Walking 40%
    • Sitting 60%
    • Occasional stooping, bending and reaching
    • Occasional lifting of 50 lbs or less
  • Visual Acuity, Hearing and Speech:
    • Normal vision, excellent hearing and very clear speech
